Zebrano (Microberlinia brazzavillensis)
Zebrano — also known as Zebrawood — is one of Africa's most visually striking hardwoods, instantly recognisable by its bold, contrasting grain pattern of pale golden-yellow streaked with dark brown to chocolate stripes. The effect is dramatic and eye-catching, making it a favourite for decorative work, furniture accents, veneers, and turning.
It is a dense, hard timber that works well with sharp tools and finishes to a smooth, lustrous surface that really shows off its extraordinary figure. Each piece is unique, and the stripe pattern can vary from fine and regular to bold and irregular.
