Kiaat (Pterocarpus angolensis)

Kiaat, also known as African Teak or Muninga, is a beautifully warm-toned hardwood from Southern Africa. Its rich golden-brown to reddish-brown heartwood, often with subtle figuring and a fine, even grain, makes it a highly sought-after timber for furniture, turning, and decorative work. Kiaat works and finishes exceptionally well, rewarding craftspeople with a smooth, lustrous surface.
