Ziricote is instantly recognisable for its dramatic “spider-webbing” grain patterns and rich dark colouring — producing pens of outstanding visual impact.

Wood Characteristics

• Colour: Dark greyish-brown to olive-black with distinctive lighter “spider-web” or landscape figuring
• Grain: Straight to slightly interlocked with dramatic, highly decorative figuring
• Hardness: Hard and dense — excellent durability and a satisfying weight
• Finish: Polishes to a superb natural lustre; the figuring becomes even more dramatic under a finish
