Zebrano (Microberlinia brazzavillensis)
Zebrano is one of the most visually dramatic timbers available to the knife maker — its pale golden-yellow background is sliced through with bold, dark brown to black streaks that give it an unmistakable zebra-stripe figure. No two pairs are alike, and the contrast only deepens with a good oil or resin finish. Hard, dense, and eye-catching, it makes for handles that genuinely stand out.
