Zebrano (Microberlinia brazzavillensis)
Zebrano is one of the most visually striking timbers available — its pale golden background is dramatically marked with dark brown, almost black streaks that run across the grain in bold, irregular patterns. No two pieces are ever the same, making each blank a genuinely unique find. This blank comes from the late John Boddy's personal stock, a celebrated name in British woodturning, and represents old-growth material of exceptional character and quality.
At nearly 50mm thick, this blank offers real depth for a substantial bowl or platter with a chunky, weighty feel in the hand.
