Yew is one of Britain's most beloved native hardwoods and a perennial favourite among woodturners. Its rich contrast between the creamy white sapwood and the warm orange-red to reddish-brown heartwood is instantly recognisable and uniquely beautiful — no other native timber offers quite the same depth of colour and natural drama. It turns exceptionally well, holds fine detail, and polishes to a naturally lustrous finish.
