Wood Characteristics

• Colour: Striking contrast between pale cream to white sapwood and vivid orange-red to deep reddish-brown heartwood — often both present in a single blank for a dramatic two-tone effect
• Grain: Fine and straight to wavy or irregular, often with attractive figuring including knots, swirls, and occasional burr — no two blanks are alike
