Wild Mango (Irvingia gabonensis)

Wild Mango is a striking tropical hardwood from West and Central Africa, quite distinct from the familiar fruit-bearing mango tree. It produces a dense, hard timber with a rich, warm appearance — typically a golden to reddish-brown with an interlocked grain that can produce a subtle ribbon or wavy figure when quarter-sawn. It is a timber that rewards careful working with a beautiful, lustrous finish.
