White Limba Pen Blank

A clean and elegant pen blank crafted from White Limba (Terminalia superba), a West African hardwood also known as Afara or Korina. White Limba is the pale, uniform form of Limba — free from the dark streaking found in Black Limba — and is prized for its light, consistent colouring, fine texture, and excellent workability.

Wood Characteristics

• Colour: Pale cream to light straw-yellow, sometimes with a very subtle greyish tint — clean and consistent throughout
• Grain: Straight to slightly interlocked with a moderately fine, even texture and a natural lustre
• Hardness: Moderately hard — lightweight yet durable, with a pleasant feel in the hand
• Finish: Sands and polishes beautifully to a smooth, attractive surface; accepts stains and dyes very evenly
• Workability: One of the easiest timbers to turn — cuts cleanly and responds well to all finishing techniques
