Each blank is supplied machined with planed faces and sized at approximately 150 × 150 × 6mm, making it ideal for adding a contrasting centre layer between thicker hardwood laminations. By combining different hardwood species, makers can create striking designs with contrasting colours, grain patterns and decorative details that give a finished crook handle a truly bespoke, handcrafted character.

How to Use These Blanks

These 6mm contrast blanks are designed to be glued between thicker hardwood layers to create a laminated walking stick crook blank. For example:

• 12mm Walnut outer layer
• 6mm Maple contrast layer
• 12mm Walnut outer layer

Once glued together, this creates a finished blank approximately 30mm thick, ready to be shaped, carved or turned into a bespoke walking stick crook or handle.
