Sipo Mahogany (Entandrophragma utile)
Sipo Mahogany — also known as Utile — is one of the finest African mahoganies available. Its warm reddish-brown heartwood, with an often interlocked grain producing a subtle ribbon figure, is both beautiful and highly workable. Stable, durable, and easy to machine and finish, it is widely regarded as a premier substitute for Genuine Mahogany and an outstanding timber in its own right. An excellent choice for furniture, joinery, cabinetry, and boatbuilding.
