Pale Moon Ebony (Diospyros malabarica) is a stunning and highly decorative ebony with a striking appearance quite unlike jet-black ebonies — its creamy pale background is dramatically streaked with dark brown to black figuring, giving each piece a completely unique, almost marbled look. It is dense, fine-grained, and turns and finishes beautifully, making it a favourite among cue makers, instrument makers, and decorative turners who want something truly eye-catching.
