Olive Wood (Olea europaea)
Olive Wood is one of the most characterful timbers available to the knife maker — its warm golden-brown tones, flowing wavy grain, and distinctive darker streaking make every pair of scales entirely unique. Dense and hard-wearing, it finishes to a smooth, lustrous surface and has been prized by craftspeople for centuries. A timber with genuine character and a long history in the hands of makers.
