A finished Oak crook handle has a satisfying weight and solidity that is hard to match, and the timber’s natural tannins mean it develops a rich, warm patina over time with use and handling.

The blank provides enough material to create a traditional shepherd’s crook style handle or a more personalised shaped handle to suit your own design. It can be carved, rasped, sanded and finished to create a unique handmade walking stick.
