Namibian Rosewood (Guibourtia coleosperma)
Namibian Rosewood — also known as African Rosewood or Copalwood — is a superb southern African hardwood prized for its rich, warm tones and beautiful figure. The heartwood ranges from a pale pinkish-brown to a deep reddish-brown, often with darker streaks and an interlocked grain that produces a subtle ribbon figure on quartersawn faces. It is a timber of genuine character and quality, long valued for fine furniture, cabinetry, and decorative work.
