Maple is one of the most versatile and widely used hardwoods in the workshop. Its pale creamy-white to light tan heartwood, fine even grain, and excellent natural lustre make it a perennial favourite for furniture, flooring, turning, and decorative work. Hard, strong, and exceptionally stable, it works superbly with both hand and machine tools and finishes to a smooth, refined surface.
