Lemonwood is a fine-textured hardwood with a pale yellow to light golden colour, often with a smooth, even grain and a clean, understated appearance. It has a subtle natural brightness that deepens slightly with age and finishing. It turns very well on the lathe with sharp tools, producing clean cuts and a smooth surface with minimal effort — its fine grain makes it easy to achieve crisp detail and a refined finish.
