Leadwood is an exceptionally dense and heavy hardwood, dark brown in colour with fine, tight grain and occasional subtle figuring. Known for its durability and weight, it produces striking, high-end pieces with a naturally rich finish. It turns cleanly with very sharp tools — its density rewards patience and steady cuts with a superb surface straight off the tool.
