Grandillo Pen Blank

A richly coloured pen blank crafted from Grandillo (Platymiscium sp.), a beautiful Central and South American hardwood closely related to Rosewood. Grandillo is prized by pen turners for its warm reddish-brown tones, fine grain, and excellent finishing qualities — producing pens with an elegant, classic appeal.

Wood Characteristics

• Colour: Warm reddish-brown to deep red with subtle darker streaking, similar in appearance to Rosewood
• Grain: Fine and straight to slightly interlocked with a smooth, even texture
• Hardness: Hard and dense — excellent durability and a quality feel in the hand
