Coconut Palm Pen Blank

A fascinating and exotic pen blank crafted from Coconut Palm (Cocos nucifera), one of the world's most recognisable tropical trees. Like Black Palm, Coconut Palm has a unique fibrous structure quite unlike conventional hardwoods, producing pen blanks with a wonderfully distinctive natural character and a warm tropical appeal.

Wood Characteristics

• Colour: Warm golden-brown to reddish-brown with darker fibres creating an attractive speckled or streaked pattern
• Grain: Unique fibrous palm structure — dense dark fibres distributed through a lighter matrix, with no conventional growth rings
• Hardness: Hard and dense outer fibres — good durability with a solid feel
• Finish: Polishes well to a warm, attractive lustre; the fibrous pattern adds natural texture and interest under a finish
