Chestnut WoodWax 22 – 450ml

WoodWax 22 is a premium blend of two of nature's finest waxes — beeswax for a warm, lustrous shine, and carnauba wax for hardness and durability. Blended together in a solvent to produce a soft, creamy paste, it spreads effortlessly over any surface and is a pleasure to use.

How to Apply

• WoodWax 22 can be applied directly to unsealed wood, but works best over one of the Chestnut Products sanding sealers.
• If working on the lathe, stop the lathe before applying the wax.
• Apply using a cloth — Safety Cloth or Stockinette works particularly well.
• The wax spreads easily; after about 20 seconds it will start to drag slightly — this means it's ready to buff. If you haven't covered the whole piece, simply apply a little more and carry on.

Buffing

• Buff as soon as possible after application to remove any surplus wax and let the shine really show through.
• On the lathe, use Safety Cloth and let the lathe do the work. Off the lathe, Safety Cloth or Stockinette can be used.

Additional Coats

A second or even third coat can be applied if required, leaving approximately 20 minutes between coats. Note: after three coats the finish can become softer and more prone to marking.

Available Colours

• Clear — Enhances the natural colour of the wood without adding tone.
• Golden Brown — Adds a warm, golden hue, ideal for lighter timbers.
• Medium Brown — A mid-tone brown to enrich and deepen the grain.
• Mellow Brown — A softer, subtler brown for a natural, aged look.
