Chestnut Products' Microcrystalline Wax is a blend of high-quality waxes rich in microcrystalline wax — a wax derived from the petroleum refining process and prized for the exceptional fineness of its crystals. The result is a firm, dense wax that delivers a superior finish with outstanding durability.

Why Microcrystalline Wax?

• Highly water resistant — When dry, the wax knits down to form a very dense coating, making it ideal for items likely to come into contact with water for short periods.
• Resistant to finger marking — Microcrystalline waxes have a higher melting point than traditional polishing waxes — higher than normal body temperature — so repeated handling won't leave marks the way other waxes might.
• EN71 Part 3 tested — Tested to the EN71 Part 3 regulations regarding coatings used on toys, making it suitable for children's items and gifts.

How to Apply

• Use over one of the Chestnut Products sanding sealers for best results.
• Apply a very thin, even coat over the entire surface.
• Allow approximately 20 minutes to dry before buffing to a shine.

Buffing Wheel System

Microcrystalline Wax is also compatible with the Chestnut Buffing Wheel System. Use the A and B Wheels as normal, apply the wax to the item, allow 20 minutes to dry, then buff using the C Wheel. The same C Wheel can be used for both Microcrystalline Wax and the Carnauba Wax Stick.
