Chestnut Finishing Oil – 500ml

Chestnut's Finishing Oil is their take on Danish Oil*, using Tung Oil as its base with the addition of solvents and driers to dramatically speed up drying time — dry within eight hours rather than days. It has a pale amber colour and dries to a hard yet flexible film that is both very hard-wearing and water resistant, making it an excellent all-round protective finish for a wide range of projects.

Finishing Oil also contains UV filters to protect the dried finish and the colour of the timber beneath, helping to prevent fading and discolouration over time.

Application

• Normally applied by cloth; on larger areas a brush can be used very successfully.
• For a high gloss finish, apply several coats with a light rub down between each coat.
• After 5 or 6 coats a good sheen should be visible.
• Dry within approximately 8 hours.
