Chacate Preto (Guibourtia conjugata)
Chacate Preto is a striking African hardwood with a bold, dramatic appearance — deep chocolate-brown to near-black tones with contrasting lighter streaks and an interlocked grain that catches the light beautifully. Dense, hard, and stable, it finishes to an outstanding lustre and is increasingly sought after by knife makers looking for something genuinely distinctive.
