Bolivian Rosewood (Machaerium scleroxylon)
Bolivian Rosewood is a superb knife handle timber — rich reddish-brown to purple-brown tones with darker streaking and a fine, even grain that finishes to a glassy, lustrous surface. Often compared to true rosewoods in appearance, it offers outstanding workability and stability, making it a firm favourite with knife makers who want a premium aesthetic without compromise.
