Bocote Bottle Stopper Blank

Bocote is one of the most visually dramatic timbers available to the woodturner. Its golden-brown base is overlaid with bold, swirling dark brown to black streaks and figuring that vary dramatically from piece to piece — no two blanks are ever quite the same. In bottle stopper form, that striking figure wraps around the turned piece to create a finished stopper that is as much a work of art as it is a functional object.

Pre-cut to bottle stopper blank size and ready for the lathe — simply mount, turn, and finish.
