African Rosewood Pen Blank

A beautifully warm and richly coloured pen blank crafted from African Rosewood (Guibourtia demeusei), also known as Bubinga. One of Africa's most prized decorative hardwoods, African Rosewood is highly regarded by pen turners for its stunning pink to reddish-brown tones, attractive figuring, and superb finishing qualities.

Wood Characteristics

• Colour: Warm pink to reddish-brown with darker purple-red veining and occasional figuring
• Grain: Straight to interlocked, often with attractive wavy or roey figure
• Hardness: Hard and dense — excellent durability and a premium feel
• Finish: Polishes to a superb natural lustre; the rich tones and figuring are enhanced beautifully under a finish
