African Rosewood Bowl Blanks

African rosewood is a richly coloured hardwood ranging from deep reddish-brown to darker chocolate tones, often with attractive streaking and natural variation that adds depth and character to turned pieces. Its fine to medium texture gives a smooth, refined appearance when finished. It turns very well on the lathe with sharp tools — oil and wax finishes enhance its natural warmth and colour contrast to beautiful effect.
