Collection: Acrylic Pen Blanks

Discover our range of Chestnut Products Acrylic Pen Blanks — no two blanks are exactly the same. From the swirling blue and white of Antarctica to the warm orange tones of Cafe Society, each blank is a one-of-a-kind piece of cast acrylic.

Cast from Poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA), these blanks are extremely hard-wearing and great fun to turn. Whilst popular for pens, they can be used in a myriad of different ways — cutlery handles, lace bobbins, finials, and more. The only limits are your imagination and their size.

Dimensions

Each blank measures 20 × 20 × 150mm.

Turning & Drilling Tips

• Fairly easy to turn and drill
• Keep chisels sharp for a clean cut
• When drilling, remove small amounts at a time to avoid cracking

Finishing

These blanks do not require a coating — no finish adheres better than the acrylic itself. Instead:

• Sand to a smooth finish
• Apply Burnishing Cream for a final cutback to a bright gloss
• Follow with Microcrystalline Wax to keep blanks looking pristine and fingerprint-free — ideal for items handled frequently or displayed at sales events
